Below is a series of topics that tend to generate questions from our patients, and a description below each topic which should help provide
you answers. If you should not find the answer that you are looking for, or if you would like a more detailed answer, please contact our office and we would be glad to assist you with any
questions that you may have.
In most cases, we contact you within seven days if your test results are abnormal in any way, either by telephone or by mail. Questions about your test results may be directed to our staff
during business hours.
Please call during regular office hours if you need a prescription refilled. All prescription requests will be handled within 24 hours. Due to time limitations, any prescription refills
on Saturday will be handled on the next business day.
Contacting your Doctor:
Your phone call is important to us. If you call to speak with one of our doctors during office hours, please let the receptionist know the nature of your call and we will return your call
at the earliest convenience.
In an emergency, including severe chest pain or shortness of breath, go directly to the hospital or nearest urgent care center (ie: Lakes Urgent
Care or DMC Urgent Care). Upon checking
in, tell the hospital staff that you are a patient of Pontiac Trail Medical Center and the name of your physician and they will contact us directly.
During non-office hours, please call our answering service at (248) 452-5517. Please explain your requests or concerns to the operator so they can relay the proper message to the physician
on call. Once the information is received, our "on call" physician will return your call as soon as possible.
